HOW TO ADD GIFT AID?
Give Aid increases the value of your gift to the church by 25% at no cost to you. You just need to be sure that you will pay income tax or capital gains tax amounting to 25% of your gift. For example, if you plan to give £100 in a tax year, then you can add Gift Aid if you expect to pay income tax or capital gains tax amounting to at least £25 in the same tax year.
The Treasurer will only be able to claim Gift Aid on donations that are traceable to you. In practice that means the donation must be by bank transfer, cheque, or card.
If your gift is eligible and you are giving by bank transfer or cheque, then please complete a Gift Aid Declaration Form and give it to the Treasurer. If your gift is eligible and you are giving by card then please give Online or via QR Code and complete the Gift Aid Declaration offered to you by Give A Little. Give A Little stores the association of your card number and your Gift Aid Declaration so that you only need to complete the form when you first donate using the card.
If you give £30 or less anonymously by cash or contactless card, then the government will add 25% under the Gift Aid Small Donations Scheme (GASDS). You do not need to be a taxpayer or fill in any forms. The Treasurer will automatically make a GASDS claim for every eligible donation.
